Hao Jiang Tian as Jianzhen in the title role, a new production by Tang Jian Ping, a production of JiangSu Performing Arts Group, world premiere in Tokyo. Performances in Nara and Kyoto, Japan.
iSING! Hao Jiang Tian with Rising Stars from the Met, Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall Oct 29
Hao Jiang Tian will be joined with four young artists from iSING! Festival who are now rising stars at the Metropolitan Opera. They will sing operatic arias, Chinese arts songs and classics. All proceeds will benefit Asian Performing Arts Council for the iSING! International Young Artists Festival. This event is co-organized by Peking University Alumni Association of Greater New York.

In this concert, Metropolitan Opera bass Hao Jiang Tian, who is celebrating his 20th year at the Met, weaves song and story into a compelling tale of growing up in China and coming to the States 33 years ago. Accompanying himself on accordion, guitar and piano, Tian will perform songs of the Cultural Revolution, American standards and operatic arias, and reveal how these songs changed his life.
